Task 8 Movie Review

After watching the movie Much Ado About Nothing it gave us a different perspective on the book. After watching the movie, we got a better understanding of scenes we didnt get when reading the play. I didnt like the movie because I thought that there was no point to it. Matt agrees.

Acting
We both liked the actors, we thought that they met the expectations of our imaginations while we were reading the play. Hero seemed sweet and innocent and Don John seemed intense and he fit the role well. The only thing that we werent expecting was that Beatrice and Bennedick and Ursula were a lot older than what we would have thought.

Pace
Matt and I both agreed that the pace could not have been slower. We got bored during the movie because nothing was really happening the entire time and it didnt help that they were talking in Shakespeare. There were many parts where we could have been more engaged in the movie, but for the most part it was too slow.

Was it worth it?
We both dont think it was worth watching it. It was too slow and didnt capture our interests. The reason being is because shakespeare language is too hard to follow and understand. And we didnt think that there was a point to the movie. We would definitely recommend it to shakespeare addicts because they would understand it and enjoy it because they like shakespeare. Overall the rating we would give this movie would be a 1.5/5.

Overall we think that this movie was done well but it wasnt for our age. We think that if they modernized it the movie would be a lot better and capture both our interests.

Yours always

Hero and Leonato

Task 7

Time travel: Interesting land I have traveled to. I have made friends and their language is very different from back in Messina. They showed me weird a concealed cart with wheels that don't need a horse. They also showed me "skyscrapers", I could not believe my eyes when I actually saw them scraping the sky! Also when I was looking up in the sky, I swear I saw the biggest bird in my life, when I asked my friends, they said it was carrying people! I'm sure Hero my daughter would have loved to see the giant bird. They also mentioned something called a computer, it can look up anything and it comes up with pictures, facts and these things called videos. I jumped back the first time i saw a video, it looked like magic! I wish to stay here longer, I do not want to leave my new friends and these new interesting technologies. I do not know how much longer i have here, but until then, i shall keep you updated.

Task 6

This morrow, Claudio, Don Pedro and myself thought it would be funny to set my stubborn niece Beatrice, with Benedick, her nemesis. Quickly we came up with a Story and made sure Benedick was to overhear our conversation, well he hid in the bushes. We spoke of Beatrice's Love for him, and how they are afraid that her passion will drive her insane or spur her to suicide. And well we were doing so, Hero, Ursula and Margaret did the some to Beatrice! They both fell for it and believed every word of it and now the both ave feelings for each other. In the end, the both ended up loving each other and getting married, a jocund event indeed!

Task 3: Dear Marriage in Meltdown

As a father myself, I can understand the disappointment you have in your wench, but this is only a little beguile in her life and both of you need to look at it and reflect upon what a tragedy has happened, and as for the embarrassment and dishonor among the rest of your family, get her to apologize to all of them at once and ask them to forgive her. But before all of that let her explain her story and hear her out because, if she is telling the truth and she is innocent you must forgive her, and go after the one who has made this feign story.

The Globe Theatre

he globe theatre was a theatre in london and was built in 1599 by Shakespeare's playing company. In the building of the globe, many thetres such as the Curtain Theatre, built in 1577and the Newington Butts Theatre, built in 1576 were closed because of the opening of the the globe. And during the Globe Theatre's time was the Red Bull and was built in 1604 and was destroyed in the Great Fire of London in 1666. The demensions of the building are unknown but it had been assumed that the Globe Theatre had been an octagonal shaped building. The overall Layout was similar but far smaller version than the Coliseum in Rome. The cost to watch play was 2-5 pennys, pending on where and quality of a seat you wanted. Lighting was entirely supported by sunlight, a reason why they had plays in the afternoon. The acting company known as the Chamberlain's Men. The theatre would put flags up on the outside to advertise which play would be playing that afternoon.
